Volunteer: Weed Wrangle® @ B&O Trail

Join us for a hands-on opportunity to help protect our park’s natural beauty by removing invasive plant species along the B&O Trail! Weed Wrangle® is part of a national initiative to preserve public spaces by eradicating harmful plant species. Your help will support the health of our native plants, wildlife, and ecosystems!

Event Details:

Event Name: Weed Wrangle® Date: Multiple shifts availableLocation: Various locations along the B&O Trail

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Assist park staff with the removal of invasive species using hand tools and herbicides. Help restore and protect the park's native plant communities by removing harmful plants like burning bush, privet, autumn olive and bush honeysuckle.  Follow all safety protocols, including wearing provided safety gear.

Important Information:

Volunteers must be comfortable using hand tools and herbicides. Volunteers ages 13 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own work gloves; all other safety gear will be provided by Brownsburg Parks.

Whether you're passionate about conservation or just want to get outside and help the community, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact. Join us for a day of teamwork, learning, and fun as we work to protect our cherished green spaces!

Help us create a cozy, joy-filled evening for moms and their minis! Moms, Minis, & Manis is a special night of connection, creativity, and a little sparkle. Volunteers play a key role in making this event run smoothly—welcoming families, helping at activity stations, and spreading smiles throughout the evening.
