
Brownsburg Parks is excited to announce our participation in the Hoosier Helping Habitat: A Statewide Weed Wrangle Initiative, led by the State of Indiana Cooperative Invasive Management (SICIM) organization. Please join us as an active volunteer for this impactful event.

Our goal is to raise awareness and take action against the invasive Callery Pear tree, which poses a significant threat to our local ecosystems. This event will focus on removing these trees along the B&O trail near the Cardinal Park trail connection. As an active volunteer, we are seeking your physical assistance to ensure the success of this initiative.
What to Expect:
- Volunteers will work alongside our Natural Resource team to cut and remove the Callery Pear trees.
- Volunteers will use a variety of hand tools, such as loppers and handsaws, to cut the trees.
- Tools will be provided, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own.
- Please bring work gloves and eye protection if you have them; a limited quantity will be available for use.
- An email will be sent prior to the event with additional details for parking and what to bring.
